The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has today unveiled its ECB Development XI and ECB Select XI squads, marking a key phase in building depth in the women’s game ahead of a packed international calendar. These line-ups comprising young cricket guns and players of England honors are set to face New Zealand A and India in Loughborough and Beckenham throughout June.

New Zealand A Women are set to lock horns with England A in a competitive all-format series featuring three 50-over matches and three T20s. This exciting tour offers a platform for rising stars and fringe players from both nations to test their mettle in high-pressure games. The One Day Internationals are set to take place in Derby, while the teams are going to clash for their first T20I in Chelmsford, and the other two set in Beckenham.
Adding to the summer’s cricketing excitement, India Women will take on England Women in a blockbuster series comprising five T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals. With the white-ball series offering crucial ICC ranking points and preparation ahead of global events, both teams are expected to bring strong, competitive squads. India women are set to compete at different venues with two majors at Lord’s and the Oval.
Building on their strong form from the recent Metro Bank ODI and Vitality IT20 series, the ECB’s line-up looks exceptionally solid with players like Emma Jones, Maia Bouchier, Paige Scholfield, Emma Lamb, and Sarah Glenn all making significant contributions. Emma Lamb has returned to national selection following a stellar domestic campaign and Sarah Glenn, a key spin option, continues to be a trusted bowler for England. Emma Jones, the Surrey all-rounder, has earned her name in the ECB Development XI with Paige Scholfield set to make an impactful performance.
