The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on July 4, 2025, that the national women’s cricket team will attend a skills and fitness camp from July 7 to August 2 at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre and Oval Ground in Karachi.
The PCB stated that 24 women cricketers will take part in the 27-day camp, which focuses on improving skills and physical fitness in preparation for upcoming international matches.
After the skills camp, a brief preparatory camp will run from July 28 to August 2 for the 15 players chosen for the upcoming Ireland tour. This focused session will act as the final preparation before the team’s departure.
The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is set to depart for Ireland on August 3 to compete in a three-match T20I series against the Ireland Women’s Team.
The series will start on August 7, with the second and third matches scheduled for August 10 and 11. All three games will be held at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Ireland.
Following the Ireland tour, Pakistan will take part in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup next month, September, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on October 2, followed by a highly anticipated clash with archrivals India on October 5. Their final group-stage match is scheduled against Sri Lanka on October 24.
Notably, the national women’s cricket team will play all their World Cup matches in Colombo due to the ‘fusion formula’ adopted ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. This agreement ensures that archrivals will avoid hosting each other in ICC events for the next three years, opting instead to compete at a neutral venue.
As a result, the first semi-final of the eight-team tournament will take place on October 29 in either Guwahati or Colombo. The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final is scheduled for November 2 in Bengaluru; however, if Pakistan qualifies, the final will be held in Colombo.
