As excitement mounts ahead of the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup, set to take place in India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2, cricket fans have even more reason to cheer. The full tournament schedule is soon to be unveiled, with marquee fixtures now confirmed—including the much-anticipated clashes between arch-rivals England and Australia, as well as India versus Pakistan.

As per reports, India will face Sri Lanka in the curtain raiser on September 30, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. India is then scheduled to play Pakistan, at the neutral venue of R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, on October 5, and Bangladesh, on October 26, in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka, after their appearance in the curtain raiser, in their next marquee clash will meet England on October 11.
Defending champions Australia open their campaign on October 1 against New Zealand, in Indore, and will then travel to Colombo, for the Pakistan fixture on October 8. Notably, just three days after their marquee clash against England on October 22, a rematch of the 2022 World Cup Final, they’ll face South Africa at the same venue on October 25.

The first semi-final (October 29) is scheduled for either Guwahati or Colombo, depending on Pakistan’s progression, while the second semi-final (October 30) will be in Bengaluru. The final (Nov 2) is slated for either Bengaluru or Colombo. Each of the eight teams will play every other team in a round-robin: the top four advance to the semi-finals.
